Korea
  • Shilla Stay Yeosu Refinancing: Eastern Investment Development has refinanced a total of KRW 87 billion in secured loans for the Shilla Stay Yeosu hotel, completed in 2022. Following the refinancing, the senior loan was split into Tranche A-1 (KRW 56 billion) and Tranche A-2 (KRW 14 billion), with some major lenders replaced and the maturity extended to November 2026. As a result, annual interest expenses were reduced from approximately KRW 7 billion to KRW 5.6 billion.
APAC
  • Garner by IHG Opens in Kyoto: IHG Hotels & Resorts has opened the Garner Hotel Kyoto Shijo Karasuma in central Kyoto. This marks the fourth Garner property in Japan following three in Osaka. Of its 103 guestrooms, 95 are single rooms targeting solo travelers. Located four minutes’ walk from Gojo Station and five minutes from Shijo Station, the hotel caters to urban leisure demand in Kyoto’s downtown area.
  • Deal Activity (October 29 – November 3): During the week of October 29 to November 3, a notable hotel transaction was the sale of the 344-room Hotel Miramar Singapore. A joint venture between Singapore-based asset manager Aravest and Wee Hur Holdings acquired the property for S$160 million. The hotel will be rebranded as DoubleTree by Hilton after refurbishment. This represents Wee Hur’s first hotel investment, with Aravest serving as the fund’s development partner.
Americas
  • US Weekly Hotel Performance (October 26 – November 1): The U.S. hotel industry recorded an occupancy of 59.3% (-2.6 ppts YoY), ADR of US$156.09 (+0.4%), and RevPAR of US$92.54 (-2.3%). By market, Tampa’s occupancy dropped 24.6 points as hurricane-related displacement demand subsided, and New Orleans saw ADR down 23.9% and RevPAR down 38.3%. In contrast, San Francisco showed strong gains with occupancy up 13.8%, ADR up 17.0%, and RevPAR up 33.1%.
  • Florida Keys Hotel Recapitalization: A joint venture of Prime Group and Shaner Hotel Group secured a US$54 million bridge loan for the 126-room Faro Blanco Resort & Yacht Club in Marathon, Florida. The loan has a three-year term with two 12-month extension options. The hotel completed its Hilton rebranding and renovation in August 2024 and benefits from the expansion of commercial air service at Marathon International Airport, which supported favorable refinancing conditions.
Europe
  • Radisson Blu Hotel Florence Opens: Radisson Hotel Group has launched the 304-room Radisson Blu Hotel, Florence in Tuscany, Italy. The property features 1,500㎡ of meeting space, a 452㎡ ballroom, a full-service spa, and tennis courts, embracing an “urban resort” concept. Targeting both business and leisure segments, it offers family and premium rooms to accommodate diverse guest needs.
  • The Zetter Bloomsbury Townhouse Development: The Zetter Group has announced plans to open The Zetter Bloomsbury in early 2026 in London’s Bloomsbury district. The 68-room boutique hotel will occupy six interconnected Georgian townhouses, with interior design inspired by Bloomsbury’s literary and artistic heritage. It aims to create the ambience of “staying at a friend’s home,” in line with the brand’s warm, residential concept.
